About RuledByPaper

Hello from the margin

I make printable calendars and planners: pages you print at home or open on an iPad, then fill with your own week.

Why “ruled by paper”

Ruled paper is paper with lines on it. I am also, honestly, a little ruled by it: a week doesn't feel real until it's written down. So I make the pages I wanted and couldn't find. Quiet ones that leave room for your handwriting, and a few illustrated ones for the corner of your desk. One person makes all of them, and every page size is tested on a real printer in both A4 and US Letter.

Six ways to use them

Build a binder
01

Build a binder

Print the monthly pages, punch two holes, clip them into a ring binder. Need another week? Print another page. That's the whole point of printables.

Stand one on your desk
02

Stand one on your desk

The desk calendars are twelve little cards. Cut along the line, fold the stand, and swap the card on the first of every month. A tiny ritual, twelve times a year.

Go paperless in GoodNotes

Open the PDF in GoodNotes or Notability. Tap a month tab to jump straight there, write with your pencil, and never run out of pages.

Put the week on the fridge

Put the week on the fridge

Fill in the meal planner on Sunday and stick it up with a magnet. The grocery list is on the same sheet, so it goes shopping with you.

Plan the season
05

Plan the season

Gift lists, a December countdown, a menu for the big day. Seasonal sets come out a little before the season does.

Colour in your year

Colour in your year

One small square a day for your mood or a habit. By December it's a picture of your whole year.

A few small tips

100%Print at actual size, not “fit to page”. Printing guide
120 g/m²Slightly thicker paper (about 32 lb) makes desk cards stand up straight
SleevesSlip a page into a clear sleeve and reuse it with a dry-erase pen
